Tokyo, April 7, 2023 - COACH A announced today that it will be speaking online at the Networking Activities session in the Institute of Coaching (IOC) conference, "Coaching in Leadership & Healthcare Virtual Conference" to be held April 27-29, 2023 (EST). The IOC is a coaching research institute at McLean Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
Coach A will be exhibiting for the second consecutive time, following the October 2021 event.

What is an IOC conference?

This is the annual conference of the IOC, which COACH A has been sponsoring since 2017, and it will be held for the 14th time this year. This year's conference will bring together world-class scientists, thought leaders, and coaching scholars to explore ways to inspire innovation of self, others, and organizations through the further evolution of coaching.

Major speakers include Gary Hamel, Director of the Institute of the Management Lab, London Business School, described by The Wall Street Journal and other major media as "the world's most influential business thinker," as well as Tatiana Bachkirova, Professor of Coaching Psychology and Co-Director of the International Center for Coaching and Mentoring Studies at Oxford Brookes University, and more than 20 others are scheduled to speak at the conference.

COACH A will present at the Networking Activities session, titled "Transcending the Boundary Between 1-on-1 Coaching and Organizational Development - Our 25 years of practice and our effort to visualize systemic impact" on Thursday, April 27, from 9:30-10:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

In a rapidly changing world, how can coaching contribute to the need for spontaneous change throughout an organization? In this session, COACH A, a pioneer of coaching in Japan, will share the methodology it has developed through 25 years of practice, along with evidence.

Miu is a multi-lingual leadership coach in COACH A based in Tokyo. Her clients are from multiple countries ranging from C-suites executives to senior managers across industries that are playing key roles in change initiatives in organizations. Her linguistic and cultural sensitivity lays the foundation to connect to clients' vision, challenges and options beyond the current situation.
With a passion to elevate coaching value in bringing business impacts, she engages in new service developments by collaborating with cutting edge researchers and technologists across countries.
She obtained MSc in Human Resource Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and B.A. in English from Chinese University of Hong Kong.


Nao Fukubayashi
Researcher, Research & Development Group, COACH A Co., Ltd.

Nao is a dynamic researcher with a background in business consultancy and an MA in Social Psychology from the University of Tsukuba. She joined COACH A in 2019 to analyze assessment data and measure client project outcomes. Nao's intellectual curiosity drives her to uncover the mechanisms behind COACH A's coaching results and continually evolve the service offerings. Currently pursuing a PhD in Social Psychology, Nao offers insightful research and analysis on the impact of coaching on clients' personal and professional lives.
